While young Annika began her glittering career as an ice maker in Haifa, Israel. Following an outbreak of salmonella in which half of the city fell ill her success came to an abrupt end. She then decided to study and graduated in 2005 at the Academie Minerva in Groningen. She worked as a media lecturer at the Popacademie in Leeuwarden and as a lecturer of illustration at the Academie Minerva. She is currently working on her own project at the Netherlands Institute for Animation film.
