This website was launched during the Animation Tour 2008 and originated as a programme for the film theatres that brought together no less than 16 short films by the new generation of Dutch animators, both students and young professionals. The Animation Tour 2008 was an initiative of the Netherlands Institute for Animation Film and the Holland Animation Film Festival. Contributions by the Nederlands Fonds voor de Film, Prins Bernhard Cultuur Fonds and VSBfonds have helped to make the tour possible.
